Being a quality SEO, you must know about the importance of words written inside title tag (< title >...your page title...< /title >).
Here i m talking about the reaction of search engines upon the keyword density, in my opinion the best way to get your page indexed is to integrate your page motive to the title of the page. Following are some reactions shown by different search engines websites:
Google basically concentrate on the web page, this search engine check whether the page title is according the information given on the page. This nature basically fight against the spammers. This is how the google allows PageRank to the web pages and tell the visitor about its popularity.
MSN basically concentrate on high keyword density, and distributes top-five rankings to the pages with density(100%) inside title.
For Google optimization, my opinion you would go for title keyword density of around 50%. And If your title contains like 3 words or less than you should add more words to your title that basically have integrated meaning towards your web page.

KW density is now old concept & I really don't believe in it.I think use your KW just to make some meaningful sentence so that it looks natural, don't use them intensionally to achieve some KW density level or to come up SERPs.If your site is really related to user's
search term then it will obviously display in SERPs.
